I have the rare opportunity to use my experiences, and the experiences of basketball players I have connected with during my journey, to create a great plan that young inspiring basketball players can use to Let basketball take them places.

Intelligence, hard work, and determination are obvious keys to becoming successful as a basketball player. The Intelligence to know how and what to work on, the hard work to get the most out of your training, and the determination to fight and continue through the tough times.

Starting in High School I had some great coaches that taught me a lot about basketball.  I went on to play under Coach Larry Shyatt at Clemson University for two years, before transferring to The Ohio State University, where I had the great privilege of training under both Coach Jim O Brien, and Coach Thad Matta. After graduating, I went on to play professionally in France, Israel, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Each of these countries have very different cultures and they approach basketball in their own distinctive way. Being a student of the game, I have taken a portion from each country and put together a unique training regiment that I use myself to get ready each year.

In my camps I try to illustrate the vast knowledge that I have acquired from the many coaches and places I have played. Giving me the chance to present your kids with the information & drills I have, will benefit them greatly in their quest to become better basketball players.

The more knowledge you can obtain about basketball, the greater the chance to Let Basketball Take You Places.

Thank you for your time,

Tony  Stockman

What Tony's Camps includes:

  • Tony has a unique set of drills that he has collected from coaches all over the world. His camps are designed for the beginner as well as for the experienced players. His drills will start out simple and basic for the beginner and will end with drills that professional basketball players perform . Designing our camps this way makes sure every kid gets the most out of our camps. Ending his camps with drills that he has learned while in college, and playing professionally overseas, will always guarantee that the kids will be challenged and that they will have drills they can work on as they improve after the camp.
  • He will cover all the basics: dribbling, shooting, defensive, triple threat, and rebounding. He also teaches one-on-one moves and teaches the art of creating a shot for yourself as well as creating a shot for a teammate. This is a skill that most young people lack. It is also one of the hardest things to teach, but Tony has a lot of experience in teaching young players how to create shots.
  • He talks about his experiences all over the world and how it has molded him into the basketball player, and person, that he is today.
  • He explains the many different approaches to becoming a great basketball player, and that there is not just one way to becoming a successful basketball player.
  • He shows the intensity and speed that you need to work out.
  • He explains Intelligence, Hard-Work and Determination; and their importance in becoming a successful basketball player.

Tony is also available to come speak to your teams camps, practices, or clinics.
