Intelligence, hard work, and determination are obvious keys to becoming successful as a basketball player. The Intelligence to know how and what to work on, the hard work to get the most out of your training, and the determination to fight and continue through the tough times.
Starting in High School I had some great coaches that taught me a lot about basketball. I went on to play under Coach Larry Shyatt at Clemson University for two years, before transferring to The Ohio State University, where I had the great privilege of training under both Coach Jim O Brien, and Coach Thad Matta. After graduating, I went on to play professionally in France, Israel, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. Each of these countries have very different cultures and they approach basketball in their own distinctive way. Being a student of the game, I have taken a portion from each country and put together a unique training regiment that I use myself to get ready each year.
In my camps I try to illustrate the vast knowledge that I have acquired from the many coaches and places I have played. Giving me the chance to present your kids with the information & drills I have, will benefit them greatly in their quest to become better basketball players.
The more knowledge you can obtain about basketball, the greater the chance to Let Basketball Take You Places.
Thank you for your time,
Tony Stockman
